American Express Platinum and Centurion Card members have enjoyed access to Lufthansa airport lounges over the last few years as part of The American Express Global Lounge Collection.

It all began In September 2017, American Express and Lufthansa launched a partnership whereby Platinum & Centurion cardmembers got access to select lounges, and that was expanded over time.

Up until recently this perk has always been available on a temporary basis, though it has been consistently extended. Most recently, the perk was valid through April 30, 2021.

It’s worth noting that a few Lufthansa lounges in the United States have joined Priority Pass, which could be useful during your next layover.

Access Policy

Although access is pretty niche. Eligible cardmembers can only access select Lufthansa lounges in Frankfurt or Munich when flying with any Lufthansa Group airlines -Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa, or Swiss. Brussels Airlines and Eurowings are excluded.
