What if I said you could fly and visit two destinations on your next trip – and perhaps – even for the price of one, would you believe me?
Let me introduce you to the world of airline “stopovers”. In the travel world, a stopover means something completely different and is something that is actually desired (at least when done right). Whether you’re the savvy points traveler, or the newcomer who wants to take the opportunity to find your feet in many foreign lands, stopovers help add more journeys to the one you’re already taking.
OneWorld Elite Status
A stopover is a way to grab an extra adventure without the extra cost of another flight. Many airlines, whether you’re using points, miles, or money to travel, offer these (neatly) packaged stopovers to a variety of cities, usually the main hub of the airline, en route to your final destination.
Some airlines don’t advertise the service, while others make it widely known.
